weekly reflection third semester

WEEKLY REFLECTION – THIRD SEMESTER

28/6/16 - 1/7/16
As per the B.Ed curriculum, our third semester school internship program for forty days started on 28 June 2016. I got M. K.L.M. HSS, Kannannallor for my internship program. Social science options trainees Tasni .B, Reenu. Suresh and Praseetha, English option trainee Shifina, Malayalam option trainee Shameema, and Physical Science option trainee Sharanya .S were there with me. I got class 8A for teaching. The concerned teacher assigned me to take Unit I and II. As a B.Ed trainee the school atmosphere was a new experience for me. This week I completed the first four lesson templates of the chapter The Mysterious Picture
4/7/16 – 8/7/16
The same lesson continued in this week. I am glad to see that they responded well, when I asked questions about the previous class. They were curious to know the rest of the story. This increased their interest to learn the lesson. I used the teaching aids effectively.
11/7/16-15/7/16
I continued the chapter “The Mysterious Picture” on this week, noticed that pupils were responding better than the last week. Pupils were very curious to know the rest of the chapter. Then I started a new chapter the boy who drew cats. After each class I gave assignments to students and I was glad to see their effort in completing the task.
18/7/16 – 22/7/16
During this week I continued with the prose. Pupils were very active during the scaffolding questions and we completed some textual activities related to this chapter. During scaffolding questions pupils tried to answer the answer in their own words. On the whole I had a nice e experience during this week.

25/7/16-29/76/16
In ths week I completed the prose, and started the poem We’re the world. Then I gave some textual activities and pupils very attentive in group activity section .on the whole I had a nice experience.
1/8/16 – 5/8/16
This week I completed the poem and started new  unit, Wings and Wheels and started A shipwrecked Sailor  while I shared the ideas of this chapter they easily connected that to with the movie ‘Titanic’ and noticed that pupils were responding better than the last week  pupils enjoyed the class as they were involved in the learning process
8/8/16 – 12/8/16
 During this week I continued the prose Pupils were very curious to know the rest of the chapter. After each class I gave assignments to students and I was glad to see their effort in completing the task. I used sufficient teaching aids the better understanding of the lesson. When I checked their notebooks I found it incomplete and asked them to complete the notes as early as possible. I got many substitution periods, engaging with the students of other classes was different experience for me.
 16/8/16 – 19/8/16
In this week I got three classes I completed the chapter “A shipwrecked Sailor” and I started with the poem “From A Railway Carriage”. While taking this poem pupil shared their experience from their journeys and completed the textual activities of this chapter with two classes. I completed this poem satisfactorily. Pupils enjoyed the class as they were involved in the learning process.
22/8/16-26/8/16
On 22/8/16 I completed the chapter From A Railway Carriage and also I had to take three models of teaching. The first model I took was concept attainment model and I taught articles. The second model was advance organizer model and I taught adjectives using this model. The third model I taught Role Play model based on the chapter The Shipwrecked Sailor. The classes were very interesting and I think it was more beautiful than normal classes. And this week we completed our teaching practice system.
